This film was the legendary Greek mythology hero Heracles (known by the movie based on his Roman name, Hercules), son of Zeus, in Greek mythology. The plot alsoinspired by the Karate Kid, Rocky, Superman: The Movie, Superman II, in particular, Hercules in New York. Even if Hercules did not match the financial success of 1990's top film Disney has released $ 99,000,000 in sales in the United States during its theatrical release [1] and $ 252,700,000 worldwide. The film is part of the Disney Renaissance that began in 1989 and completed in 1999.
